Rodents

Mouse
The most common of all rodent problems. Two mice can multiply to one hundred in only four months. Yes, they reproduce quickly. Usually, if you see one, there are more. Mice, like rates, are known to carry disease like hantavirus and also carry fleas. It only takes a hole the size of a dime for a mouse to get into the place where you don't want them.

Rat
These guys do serious damage. It only takes a hole the size of a quarter for this rodent to get into places they shouldn't be. Rats can mate as many as 500 times in a six hour period during a females period of receptivity...which she experiences 15 times per year. Therefore, a pair of brown rats can produce as many as 2,000 descendants in one year if left unchecked.

Voles
The most common voles we have here in our area are Prairie Voles. What is the difference from voles and moles? If you notice your lawn having many trails that look like something has been running on top of your lawn (especially after all the snow has melted) instead of a line of underground mounds, you most likely have voles. They look very similar to mice. They reproduce fast and can do extensive and expensive damage to your lawn, plants and flowers.
